FastArchitecture at the Festival of Speed.

Overview Oct 25, 2019 Case, Expro

As the premium motor event in the British calendar, Goodwood Festival of Speed, following a successful event with AirClad in 2018, wanted to extend the offering of our structures at the 2019 event in Newbury.

The Future Lab zone was a key up-market sponsorship area with the likes of Vodafone, Lightyear and CarGo who were all to exhibit in their own contemporary XPO 10 from the EXPRO range with branded black AirCells.

Commissioned to rent, install, manage and de-rig the three structures, the AirClad Crew took just 2.5 days with 8 members of our highly trained team, with one dedicated project manager and a crew chief! De-rig was even quicker!

The popularity and recognition that our designs align perfectly with high end brands, the Festival of Speed was balanced in other zones with other structures from our EXPRO range.

The agency RPM approached AirClad, following the success of the structure we provided in 2018 for Sky Sports. Their brief was to create a terrace structure on the track side, with ample shading from the sun. The addition of a larger XO6 structure on the terrace in 2019 created the shade that was required. At the same time, Citroen contacted us to provide their main stand, this was the first time in a number of years that Citroen has attended the festival. The brief was to provide a contemporary 10x15m structure to house their new all electric car concepts.

Airclad managed the full rental of the XPO10x15, including custom branding of the structure including AirCell and fascia branding, working directly with Citroens’ events agency Strata.

Founded in 1904, the FIA’s initial aim was to bring coherent governance and safety to motor sport.

Through the expertise gained in that arena, the FIA has since grown into a global organisation that not only promotes motor sport, but also safe, sustainable and accessible mobility for all road users across the world. As such, the federation works across three key interlinked areas of activity – Sport, Campaigns and Mobility. In the realm of Mobility, the FIA aims to ensure that safe, affordable and clean systems of transport are available to all.

Recognising the synergy between AirClad and themselves, the FIA contacted us directly through the relationship with Goodwood, and as a result of the subsequent conversations, we supplied their official stands in three of the XPO10x10, strategically positioned around the festival.

We have BIG plans ahead for next year, to see how we can make a giant leap in the industry, so watch this space or email us at info@airclad.com to find out more.
