Our system. Your imagination.

We understand that our clients are creative and eager to push the boundaries of what’s possible. As a design and production company, we fully embrace this philosophy, and taking the “off-piste” approach allows us to do just that. AirClad technology is perfectly suited to being reimagined and challenged.

With AirClad Off-Piste, we apply the core principles of our modular, reusable designs to create unique grids that can either integrate with or stand apart from our core system. This flexibility allows us to develop aesthetics that go beyond what is typically seen in our standard range of structures. Although some custom structures may not directly interact with our standard range of products, they embody the same longevity and usability that define all things AirClad.

Off-Piste projects can take on sharp, angular, forms or softer, more organic shapes that interface smoothly with the AirCells. Enhanced by CNC processes, these projects demand time, careful planning, and thoughtful execution.

The development of Off-Piste projects can start from either written or visual briefs. We leverage our trained AI assets in visual generation, paired with operational and construction expertise, to navigate towards realisable schemes. The result is an exploration of design possibilities that take us beyond anything we’ve previously imagined.

How industry leaders are using our architecture.

  • IBM commissioned AirClad to create an event structure to showcase their new technology to partners and stakeholders in an aspirational setting. The venue needed to perform as a permanent building; with offices, cafe, reception area and breakout spaces inside. The structure had to pack down and tour key locations in Germany and flex in scale to suit a number of different sites.

  • Puma challenged AirClad to develop the next generation of touring event systems, complimenting and potentially replacing their existing container based system. AirClad were able to create an expansive grid to compliment the containers while creating much larger spaces with greater internal flexibility. The icing on the cake was AirClad technology could deliver nearly 10x more space to one 40ft container.

  • The very first AirClad structures made with Kertu timber Space Frames. The Volvo brief required AirClad to review and develop a lower carbon product for their new tour, the Kertu frames were developed from the exact XPO6 grid allowing cross over of all standard parts to minimise reproduction.
