The engineered aluminum main frame of the AirClad eXpo system is manufactured and assembled with various extruded profiles which incorporate a keder extrusion for the sliding in the air inflated skin. The aluminum is treated with a double layer of powder coated paint for intensive and outdoor use. Standard coated in white and also available in a whole spectrum of RAL colours.

The cross bracing connecting the frames are made off a powder coated 50mm diameter steel tubes and clip into casted stainless steel pucks. The whole of the frame system and floor are uniquely constructed without the use of nuts and bolts. The entire eXpo system simply clicks together allowing for a hassle free, very fast and safe installation.


The air cell design and patterns are designed to fit the eXpo system, different membrane materials and combinations are cnc pattern cut and sealed together via a unique welding technique and have a keder system to slide into the frame system easily. All the fabrics for the membranes are chosen based on the performance required for the project and comply as standard to the following fire ratings BS 7837, DIN 4102 (B2), EN 13501 (A2/B S2 D0) and M2.

We have a selection of preferred global suppliers such as Ferrari Textiles, Dickson Coatings and Atex Silicon fabrics. The UV performance of the fabrics will vary with certain fabrics but offer a minimum of 10 years continuous use, and the glass re-enforced silicon-based fabrics offer up to 30 years. For permanent installations we use ETFE films. For special projects we can use Mylar polyester film, woven metallic fabric, cottons, flocked materials or anything that can have a non-porous coating applied to it. The key factor in choosing a fabric is that it meets the performance requirements demanded of it by its situation using the eXpo system.

Full samples are available to view and selections with our partners, specific samples can be organised on request. We can manufacture any of these fabrics to match near to RAL, Pantone colours. Please allow a minimum of 6 weeks on top of any standard lead times to manufacture special colour fabrics.


The fascia is designed on a 1m grid and exist of extruded aluminium supports designed to fix different types of paneling or glazing. An aluminium single or double sliding door system can be mounted into the grid, provided with handles and locks it provides a safe, wind resistant and easy accessible eXpo space. This fascia system comes standard finished with textured matt graphite powder coating and is on request available in other colours. For glazing of the fascia and doors we use 8mm polycarbonate on portable applications and 8mm plate glass for more permanent or long-term installations. The glazing is secured to the fascia with stainless steel screws and aluminium spreader washers. There is a checker plate aluminium ramp with all door systems to allow disabled access. These ramps are standard 1m deep and will be affected in angle by the local conditions.


We provide a floating flooring system that comes standard as outdoor rated. The resin-coated 18mm plywood is reinforced with galvanised steel supports. The floor has a 5kpa loading. For extra loads such as car displays we can re enforce the sections with extra leg support beams.

The flooring system clips together, needing no fixings, allowing for a fast, safe installation with no missing parts. Ready to take any floor finish.


The Doors are extruded aluminium with textured matt graphite coating to match the fascia supports. The glazing is 8mm polycarbonate for portable applications and 8mm plate glass for the more permanent or long term deployments. The doors are a sliding system 1m wide. Both doors have handles on the inside and out with a door lock. There is a checker plate aluminium ramp with all door systems to allow disable access. These ramps are 1m deep and will be effected in angle by the local conditions.

Air Power

The air cells on the AirClad system are all high frequency welded as sealed chambers. They will stay inflated over short periods of time however we do advise an air management system to ensure all temperature changes and other factors are managed.  For events less than 3 days it is not necessary to run an air management system, but always good as maintenance back up. With permanent installations we supply air management systems standard, they run periodically when needed and draw very little energy, 1.4amps / 0.125Kw.

The fan system is built inside a plastic weatherproof box 380mm by 480mm by 150mm. This box can be mounted onto the structure or under the flooring. For most events we supply this box mounted to a free standing aluminium frame which can be positioned close or far from the structure in line with your preferred needs. If power distribution is required we supply the fan system with a distribution box taking 63 or 32amp to 16amp outlets.

Racking and Packing

We supply a transport and storage system for touring structures. For structures being installed for a long period of time they are palletized for the most efficient safe transportation from factory to venue. All structures are designed to work with the same storage and transport system so you can upgrade whenever is needed.

The frames are supported on a steel powdered coated stillage. The fascia, cross bracing and doors all fit into a purpose built flight case with internal compartments to protect all the elements from each other. The air cells are in their own bags in a plastic flight case. Flooring is loaded onto the frame stillage along with the flight case for the fascia and air cells. The whole stillage is then load onto trucks as required. The stillage are used for all eXpo systems up to 12m wide and 20m deep.

The dimensions given are in metric and show height and width of the interior spaces to assist you with preliminary guides and capacity.
